How Much Does a WordPress Website Cost in Pakistan in 2026?

WordPress powers a huge share of business websites in Pakistan, and for good reason: it is affordable, you can edit it yourself, and it can grow from a simple company profile into a full online store. But ask around and the quotes make no sense. One developer says PKR 50,000, another says PKR 400,000, and both are talking about ‘a WordPress website’.

Both can be telling the truth, because ‘a WordPress website’ is not one product. It is a platform, and what gets built on top of it decides the price. This guide gives you the real 2026 price bands we see in the Pakistani market, what moves a quote between them, and the running costs nobody mentions on the first call.

Typical WordPress website prices in Pakistan (2026)

These are the ranges charged by established freelancers and agencies in Pakistan today. WordPress itself is free; you are paying for the hours it takes to design, build, fill and protect your site.

  • Do-it-yourself with a premium theme: PKR 15,000 to 50,000 a year. That covers a domain, decent hosting and a paid theme with plugins. The build itself costs your own evenings and weekends, and the result depends entirely on your patience.
  • Freelancer build on a ready-made theme: PKR 50,000 to 130,000. The most common quote for a small business site. The design is adapted from an existing theme, your pages are set up for you, and you get basic training on editing.
  • Agency build with a customised design: PKR 130,000 to 300,000. The site is shaped around your brand instead of a template, content is usually written or polished for you, and speed, security and SEO setup are handled properly.
  • WooCommerce online store: PKR 200,000 to 550,000. Products, categories, cart, checkout, local payment gateways (JazzCash, Easypaisa, cards) and shipping logic take real configuration and testing.
  • Membership sites, directories, course platforms or multi-vendor marketplaces: PKR 300,000 and upwards. These are closer to software than websites.

What actually pushes a WordPress quote up or down

The number of pages matters less than people think. What matters is how much the site has to do, and how much of the work you hand over finished rather than unfinished.

This is also why two quotes for ‘the same site’ can differ wildly: one includes half of the list below and the other includes none of it. Always compare what is inside the quote, not just the bottom line.

  • Design: a ready-made theme adapted to your logo is days of work; a design built around your brand from scratch is weeks
  • Content: handing over finished text and photos keeps the quote down; asking the developer to write your pages and source images adds real hours
  • Features: a contact form is simple, but online payments, member areas, multilingual content or a custom price calculator each add build and testing time
  • Store size: twenty products with cash on delivery is one job; five hundred products with variations, coupons and courier integration is another
  • Plugins: free plugins are free, but serious sites usually need paid ones — a booking system or a premium form builder can cost $50 to $200 a year each
  • SEO and speed setup: proper titles, a sitemap, Search Console and performance tuning take a day or two of skilled work, and skipping it is why some cheap sites never rank

The running costs nobody puts in the quote

A WordPress site is not a one-time purchase. Keeping it online, fast and safe costs money every year, and it is better to know this before you sign than after.

None of this is a reason to avoid WordPress; every platform has running costs. It is simply part of the budget, and a developer who mentions it upfront is usually the honest kind.

  • Domain name: around PKR 3,000 to 6,000 a year for a .com or .pk
  • Hosting: PKR 12,000 to 30,000 a year for decent shared or cloud hosting; PKR 40,000 to 100,000 or more for managed WordPress hosting on a busy store
  • Premium theme and plugin renewals: roughly $50 to $250 a year in total, depending on what your site uses
  • Maintenance: updates, backups, security checks and small fixes — either an hour or two of your own time each month, or PKR 10,000 to 30,000 a month if an agency handles it

When a cheap WordPress quote costs you twice

There is nothing wrong with a low budget, but there is a difference between economical and cut-corner. The rebuilds we see most often trace back to the same few shortcuts.

If a quote sits far below the ranges above, ask which of these corners is being cut. A fair cheap quote explains its limits; a bad one hides them.

  • Bloated multipurpose themes loaded with dozens of plugins the site does not use — slow, fragile and painful to edit
  • Nulled (pirated) themes and plugins, which are a favourite way for malware to get in
  • No backups and no update plan, so the first hack or failed update becomes an emergency
  • A site the owner cannot edit without calling the developer for every small change

Five questions to ask before you pay

Get the answers in writing. They take five minutes to ask, and they are the difference between a site you own and a site you rent from your developer’s goodwill.

  • Is the design a ready-made theme, a customised theme, or designed from scratch?
  • Will I be able to edit text, images and products myself, and will you show me how?
  • Who owns the domain, the hosting account and the admin logins — me or you?
  • Are backups, security setup and basic SEO included, or extra?
  • What happens if something breaks two months after launch?

So, what should you budget?

For most small and growing businesses in Pakistan, a realistic 2026 budget for a proper WordPress website is PKR 80,000 to 200,000 for the build, plus roughly PKR 30,000 to 80,000 a year in running costs. Online stores and membership sites start higher, as the bands above show.
